Marshall Goldsmith, described by Fast Company as "the world’s top executive coach,"  and a best-selling business author, has teamed up with Sherpa Coaching, a leading coach training firm, for a Fall 2007 speaking tour. Goldsmith will speak alongside Brenda Corbett and Judith Colemon, authors of The Sherpa Guide: Process-Driven Executive Coaching, at three universities.

Goldsmith will also meet the public to celebrate the success of What Got You Here Won’t Get You There, his new best-selling business book. He’ll sign copies at events arranged by all three executive education programs.

Goldsmith will be a guest speaker in Sherpa Coaching Certification classes at Penn State, Texas Christian University and the University of Georgia. Students registered in the coaching certification program will hear Goldsmith speak alongside the authors of The Sherpa Guide,  the course text. “Brenda Corbett and Judy Colemon are a dynamic team, and they're great people. I am happy to be sharing the platform with them.” Goldsmith said. “This sort of collaboration could only happen on campus."

"Marshall’s contribution is a substantial honor for the Sherpa program.” co-author Judith Colemon adds. “Sherpa is the only coaching certification endorsed by multiple universities, and now we have the world’s number one executive coach as a guest speaker in every program. “

Goldsmith will speak alongside the Sherpa Guide authors in State College, Pennsylvania on October 17th, Fort Worth Texas on October 30th and Athens Georgia November 6th, 2007. Goldsmith explains: The Sherpa Guide and my new book work well together. In combination, they deliver the passion and the process we call coaching.”

For university alumni and the business public at all three tour stops, it’s a chance to meet an icon in American business. What Got You Here Won’t Get You There has been a best-selling business book since its release in January 2007, and has taken Goldsmith from the top slot in the coaching world to a leading role in American business thought. Marshall Goldsmith will sign copies of his book at all three universities.

At all three universities, the 60-hour Sherpa Executive Coaching Certification runs in two week-long blocks, with hotel and meals provided on campus. Details are available at www.sherpacoaching.com. Both authors of The Sherpa Guide will teach at all three universities. Marshall Goldsmith comments: “Corbett and Colemon are the next generation of world leaders in coaching."
